Food and Resources Bank

Based at ACE, Oficina Precaria / PIE have created a food and resources bank – non-perishable food, toiletries, hygiene products and some children’s clothes are available free to anyone in need.

The Bank is now OPEN as an emergency service on Thursdays from 10:30 – 2pm at ACE. No referral or prior booking needed, but please note Covid safety measures in place: masks, hand sanitiser, only one person per household inside the premises please, and only one person visiting the foodbank at a time.

You do not need to provide any paperwork or ‘proof of status’ for immigrant or DWP status.

There’s also an Emergency 1-Stop Shop 11:30 – 1pm and 3:30 – 4:30pm providing advice and support. Free soup is also available during these hours both also available each Thursday.

Plus check out our Coronavirus Support page which also has info on community groups providing food and food deliveries.

Foodbank Referral

In Edinburgh you can get a foodbank referral by ringing the Scottish Welfare Fund on 0131 529 5299 and choosing option 5. You don’t need to get an organisation to ring for you, you can do it yourself. But if you have any problems contact ECAP.
